Tell us about your journey as a recruiter
With an extensive background working in HR & Personnel Services it seemed like a natural progression to work in the recruitment sector and use my knowledge and expertise to help find others a role that not only matches their skills and qualifications but matches their personality and work ethos too.
Having worked for IPA in the regional city of Cairns for over 10 years, I couldn’t wish to work for a better team or a more professional recruitment company. At IPA we live by our mottos – ‘Love your work’ Own it, Take the Lead and Be the Difference’.
We aim to inspire others by what we do and use our expertise to help others be great. Regularly sharing ideas across offices to empower our team, clients and candidates, along with our ‘All safe all the time’ work practices makes us stand out from the crowd.
What's been your experience using TalentVine?
Being a new user to TalentVine, I have found the platform to be simple and easy to navigate. TalentVine staff are informative and respond quickly to queries should you have any uncertainty around using the platform. It has also provided our office with new opportunities for our candidates, an introduction to new and exciting clients and been a useful tool in collaborating with our other IPA offices.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to employers?
Employers – It’s always useful to have information about the specifics of the role and what core competencies, skills and qualifications are needed for the role but its also nice to know a little more about the culture of the company. Who do you see fitting into the role – tell us a little about the dynamics of the team and the personality type that you see fitting into the team to bring out the best in your workforce.
A good recruiter not only matches their candidates core competencies to the job requirements but also ensures that person will fit the team profile and encourage harmonious, respectful and collaborative relationships moving forward.
