Tell us about your journey as a recruiter
My journey started in the world of technology and working with advanced systems for a chip manufacturer in the UK. When a decision was made to relocate the head office my role became redundant and this was my first introduction to the IT recruitment industry. I didn’t realise I would end up working for the very company trying to help me find my next role. The love of recruitment remains to this day and helping candidates secure new positions is the best feeling.
What changes do you see happening in the recruitment industry in the next 12 months?
We are already seeing technology have a huge influence and impact on how we all perform our roles. WFH is becoming a permanent fixture and companies are better equiped to support a remote workforce.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to employers?
The biggest piece of advice I can give is to adapt and be flexible with working environments. Companies that embrace WFH will be able to promote a value proposition that will attract the best IT talent.
